The Caterpillar Room
This is our Nursery! The classroom is split in half to accommodate infants and young toddlers. On one side, we care for children six weeks of age to 1 year old. The other half of the room is set to care for 1 year old children to 2 year olds. Classroom ratios here are 3:1 on the infant side and 4:1 on the young toddler side.
The Butterfly and Bumblebee Rooms
These are Trinity’s 2 year old rooms! The Butterfly room ratio is 10:1 and the Bumblebee room ratio is 8:1. The difference in ratio is due to the classroom size and how many children can be within that space. Both of these toddler rooms follow similar schedules and the same curriculum, with flexibility to accommodate the needs of children when needed.
The Cricket Room
This is our 3 year old classroom! Here, children will find more content-specific play centers, and start preparing for pre-school. At this point, children are also exposed to some special activities throughout the week, such as Chapel in the church Sanctuary and having a guest speaker come read books in the classroom! These occur once a week. Our classroom ratio for the 3 year old’s is 10:1.
The Dragonfly Room
Also known as the preschool classroom, the Dragonflies care for and teach children ages 4 and 5. With a goal of Kindergarten preparation, this classroom still promotes learning through play and provides larger centers and activities to meet the developmental levels of the children. Just like the Crickets, the 4 and 5 year olds also go to Chapel and have a guest come read to them once a week! You will find the classroom ratio here is 10:1.
The Grasshopper Room
This is our School-Age classroom. Kindergarten through 5th grade students are able to be in this room. Although these children are only in attendance before and after school for a short time, the classroom comes alive during summer and other school breaks! While in attendance, lesson plans are created to provide engaging experiences, homework help is provided, and friendships are made.
